The RCM UK Foundation is pleased to announce generous funding for the Learning Through the Arts' expansion in the UK from the StratREAL Foundation.

Through the generosity of Mr. Pierre Rolin, Chairman and chief Executive of Strategic Real Estate Advisors, the StratREAL Foundation has seen fit to be part of the exciting expansion of LTTA's work throughout the UK. The StratREAL Foundation was established in 2003 to help improve the lives of young people around the world. Children are the future the basis of healthy societies, and it is to their welfare and in particular to their education, health and housing needs that the Foundation is dedicated.

The Foundation directs funds to specific projects within carefully selected charities that work to help young people in need. Other recipients of Foundation funding include UNESCO, The Princes Drawing School, The Prince of Wales Arts & Kids Foundation among others.

This seed funding to LTTA has allowed the RCM UK Foundation to begin work establishing Learning Through the Arts in several centres in the UK. We are grateful for the continued support or Mr. Pierre Rolin and appreciate his initiative in sparking personal transformation in the Children in LTTA Programmes.

It is important to highlight that The StratREAL Foundation is non-political and non-religious and is keenly focussed on avoiding bureaucracy and red tape so that charitable donations are centred on real projects that achieve real results and make a long-term difference in the lives of young people. National Research Study shows powerful effects of LTTA
At the conclusion of a three-year study, students in Learning Through the Arts score as much as 11 percentile points higher in math than their peers in non-LTTA schools, a Queen's University Study has found.

Led by Dr. Rena Upitis and Dr. Katharine Smithrim, the study was designed to determine the effects of arts education on learning. In total, more than 6,000 students and their teachers in LTTA and control schools were involved in the research. For more information, click here.
